Does Cushon base projected returns on past performance?
No. The past is not a good guide to the future. Despite the huge emphasis on past performance by fund managers, this is not something that most big financial services companies attach much weight to when they are managing their own money.
The only thing we use past performance for is to help assess the amount of risk a fund is taking.
