Troy brings more than 20 years’ experience in pensions and employee benefits, previously serving as CEO of NOW: Pensions, where he led the business through a regulatory turnaround and oversaw its sale. Prior to that he spent 15 years at JLT Group in senior roles across finance, operations and global M&A, as well as KPMG in Australia.
Having joined Cushon in 2020, Troy has played a key role in scaling the business, supporting funding rounds, acquisitions and organic growth, culminating in its sale to NatWest and subsequently WTW.
Combining Cushon’s digital-first workplace savings platform with WTW’s scale, global reach and institutional expertise, the total portfolio across Cushon and LifeSight includes more than £30billion of master trust assets and 1.2 million customers. With reach across all client segments, Cushon will continue to leverage NatWest distribution through a referral agreement.
I’m incredibly excited for Cushon to now be part of WTW and the opportunities this creates for our customers, clients and colleagues. My focus will be on building on the strong foundation, continuing to drive growth, enhancing our proposition and delivering better financial outcomes for our customers, while making the most of everything WTW has to offer.
Troy Clutterbuck, Managing Director of Cushon
Troy succeeds Ben Pollard, founder of Cushon, who will remain with the business as a strategic adviser.
I’m delighted to see Troy step in to lead Cushon. He has been instrumental in Cushon’s journey and holds a clear vision for the future. I know the business is in very capable hands as it enters this next phase as part of WTW.
Ben Pollard, founder of Cushon
We are delighted to welcome Troy as the leader of Cushon. He brings deep sector expertise and a strong leadership track record. I look forward to working with Troy and the team as we build on Cushon’s momentum. I want to thank Ben for his partnership and vision in building Cushon, and I am so pleased he will continue as a strategic adviser.
